We emphasize the importance of working together to help prepare for, and mitigate disaster.Catastrophic Planning and Management Institute is an organization with specialized professional personnel and an Advisory Board, which includes only experts who have had direct field experience. CP-MI provides professional expertise specifically relevant to input to the Federal Government for the following: Review of Federal Policy relative to Disaster Preparedness, Response and Recovery. CP-MI has been closely involved in the evaluation and development of Catastrophic Plans of Federal agencies and Department of Defense with change recommendations. CP-MI has provided personnel to varied Commands in structuring outcome expectations for National and other Disaster Response Exercises. CP-MI reviews and evaluates processes and training which enhance catastrophic planning and management.
Federal projects include review of IT Security, Interoperable Communications for Disaster Response, Health IT Security and Medical Record security and assistance in reconciliation middleware; Internal Review Processes and software development; review of Emergency Alert Systems, evaluation of Exercise Hot-Wash procedures and After Action Reports. To this end CP-MI offers a rigorous certification review of processes which may uniquely facilitate response in a superior methodology and so effect direct recommendation for integration or change.
